In a follow-up from the European Union and UNESCO to Mediterranean Living Heritage Project(Medliher), the Egyptian National Committee held an assessment meeting, on Sunday, 21/10/2012 to discuss the implementation of the project and how to address the obstacles faced by the participants in the project
 
In a follow-up from the European Union and UNESCO to Mediterranean Living Heritage Project(Medliher), the Egyptian National Committee held an assessment meeting, on Sunday, 10/21/2012, at the Egyptian National Committee headed by Engineer / Safwat Salem Secretary-General of the Commission, and the presence of both 
• Mr. / Gregor Euromed EU project representative. 
• Ms. / Tamara representative of the Regional Office of UNESCO in Cairo. 
• Scientific Committee for the project 
• Groups supervisors of field collection team.
• Coordinating Committee and team management 
• Team of the National Committee 
  

Dr. Hisham Abd El-Aziz presented a progress report for the project in the area of field work for collecting intangible heritage in Damietta until the first of October.
 
Where, he explained, cultural diversity in Damietta and his poll participants in the important elements which will be identified and presented to the Scientific Committee.Which has added some other elements, elements were integrated with each other as of its association and removed others. some of field notes has been noted, and he emphasis on the conditions to be met, and specific elements was selected for the documentary film , he introduced some of collectiong data problems  in the month of Ramadan and also collecting positives in this month and disadvantages.
He then discussed including Statistics has been done, and show examples of what was filmed on bread Almiva and how it works.
 
then  Photographer.Ahmed Hassan, a member of the Visible Documentation Team discussed what was photographed for the film and techniques used.
D. Mustafa Gad spoke about the workshop held by the data collectors and preparation of the workshop for the preparation of files and display the documents used and topics of the workshop and ethics combine techniques and training on photography and display results of field research during the 4 days of training, a 420 image and 3 hours Video 16 registration and it has been collecting about 38 element so far 7 of them were chosen for the film.And eating explain the second workshop, which will focus on how to nominate a representative for the list and the Urgent Safeguarding and view the workshop agenda.
Eng.Safwat Salem spoke on the media and how they were promoting the project in the media and highlight the role of the European Union and UNESCO and their efforts in this regard and take advantage of project outputs in the future and that is the inclusion of an item to Egypt as a result of this project, where does any elements listed us despite the presence of a wealthy in one province let aloneso in other governorates, so the project should continue and spread to other governorates around the Nile.
