Intangible culture heritage in Damietta as a part of the Nile Heritage

Phase II

 

The implementation of the second phase was done by helding the global meeting in Cairo with the participation of the four partner countries and host a delegation of the State of Palestine on an informal basis and representative UNESCO and EU to stand on the implementation of the project and evaluation of projects submitted by the States, on 28-30 November 2010 in Cairo with the aim of

1 - evaluation of the results of the first phase, and they are devoted to monitor the national situation

2 - Selection of national projects and activities for the third phase 2011-2012

 

Participated in this meeting representatives of the four countries partner (Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria) - House of World Cultures in France - representatives of the Palestinian Authority - representatives of the EU Delegation in Egypt representatives of UNESCO - Project Manager fourth Mediterranean European Heritag - and experts others

 

Deputy Chairperson of the Commission of the European Union to Egypt talked for the objectives of the project Euro-Med Heritage IV to contribute to the exchange of experiences on cultural heritage and that it is funding 12 projects including Medliher

 

The four participants States presented their reports on their experiences in the first phase as well as the expert assessment of these tests and Ayman Khoury Deputy Documentation Centre Cultural and Natural Heritage show the report of Egypt, and Mr. Jamil Kurdish presented the Medliher database and reviewed the systems and research methods, data pages, organizations and information available on the site

The lengthy discussions took place on the subject of national projects proposed for the third phase was interest in the position on the work of inventories
