 Tunisia hosted The General Conference of the Arab Organization for Education, Cultural and Science which has been convened in 18-19 Dec, 2008. It has been attended by all member states delegates and observed by some Arab and international organizations and associations.
Dr. Mongy Abu Senena has been awarded the golden armor of the organization in recognition of his outstanding role in ALESCO.
The conference discussed the agenda and recommendations of the executive assembly and decided the following:-
1-selecting the heads of both the Tunisian and Bahraini delegations as vice-presidents.
2-appointing Dr. Soliman khatib as a general rapporteur for the general conference in its 19th session.
3-Comprising the committees of the conference and selecting their heads and secretaries e.g. committee for education, culture, science, communication & information , national commissions' activities and a committee for financial and administrative affairs .
In its second session, the committees submitted their proposals, drafts , decisions and recommendations.
They also approved the reports of the committees after amendments and application of recommendations.
